About us
Schwar Capital Research is where I share my thinking on investing.
I write equity research reports, portfolio updates, and occasional pieces on investing philosophy – all focused on finding high-quality businesses at what I believe are sensible valuations.
The Approach
I look for asymmetric opportunities. Companies with what I see as durable competitive advantages, strong management teams, and valuations that I think offer a margin of safety.
I run a concentrated portfolio – typically 8 to 12 positions. Not because I’m reckless, but because I’d rather know a few businesses deeply than spread myself thin across dozens I barely understand.
I think long-term. Most of what passes for “investing” is really just speculation dressed up in financial jargon. I’m not interested in predicting next quarter’s earnings or chasing momentum. I want to own good businesses and let them compound.
I try to be contrarian when it makes sense – not for the sake of it, but because I find the best opportunities often come when the crowd is looking elsewhere.
And I hold cash when I can’t find anything worth buying. Patience is underrated.

Why I Write
Investing can feel lonely. Most of what you read online is noise – hype, hot takes, or thinly veiled sales pitches.
I wanted to create something different. A space to think clearly, share ideas, and connect with people who take this seriously.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love to have you here.
