It's good to admit when something isn't working.
Not just in investing, but in business and life in general.
Let me explain what we've learned and how we're fixing it…
Schwar’s Radar
We launched Schwar's Radar with ambitious goals: track our complete watchlist of 75 quality stocks and deliver earnings summaries for each company.
While some subscribers found value in this approach, many others felt overwhelmed.
The truth?
It created too much noise.
Exactly what we try to avoid here at Schwar Capital.
This was a mistake in hindsight.
Rather than stick with a flawed system, we're implementing a solution that reduces noise while adding genuine value for our subscribers.
The New Categorized Watchlist System
We're organizing our coverage into clear, actionable categories:
Current Holdings - Positions we actively own and manage
High Interest - Thoroughly researched companies with strong conviction; our "next purchase" candidates
Wish List (Quality at Wrong Price) - Excellent businesses we'd love to own but are currently overvalued; monitoring for pullbacks and better entry points
Educational Tracking - Companies we're studying to understand industries and business models; valuable for learning but not necessarily buying candidates
Community Picks - Free Tier - 10 community-suggested stocks available to all subscribers.
Tell us which stocks you'd like to see featured in the Free Tier.
What This Means Going Forward
We'll continue reporting earnings for Current Holdings and High Interest stocks, plus provide our personal fair value estimates for both categories.
This strikes a much better balance between useful information and overwhelming noise.
For our Wish List companies, we'll also include personal buy zones to signal when we might consider moving them to High Interest or higher.
How to Access Schwar's Radar
The paid tiers are included at no additional cost for all Schwar Capital YEARLY subscribers.
You can get that if you want here:
Alternatively, you are able to subscribe separately to Schwar's Radar separately for $150/year or $20/month.
If you are a current paying subscriber who haven't been comped a subscription yet please message me directly and I’ll get that fixed.
We're committed to continuously improving the value we deliver and hope you like this update.
Have a great weekend,
Dom
