Removing the Paywall on All My Old Ideas
The Idea Archive Is Now Open

I’ve been publishing investment ideas on Schwar Capital Research for over a year now. Twenty-one pitches across ten countries - fintech in Brazil, industrials in Sweden, small-caps in the UK.
Starting today, most of those past write-ups are free for all subscribers.
Why? These are positions I’ve either sold out of or held long enough that the original thesis has played out. The edge has moved. Opening them up costs me nothing and gives newer readers a window into how I think.
A few caveats before you dive in:
Financials are dated. These were point-in-time pitches. I haven’t updated the numbers in most cases, so treat them as idea generation, not live recommendations.
Some have follow-up notes. Where the thesis evolved or something material happened, I’ve linked updates.
The average “high return” across these ideas is 37%. Not every idea worked. Some are underwater. That’s the game.
So where’s the value for paid subscribers?
The ideas matter. But so does everything that comes after - position sizing, timing, and knowing when to sell.
Looking at the table below at face value doesn’t tell the full story. Two examples:
NTDOY - Sized as my largest position. Sold in August 2025, extracting most of the 85% gain. The table shows +23% - I captured far more.
META - Never had a dedicated write-up, just portfolio commentary. I exited at over a 5-bagger.
That’s why I’ve highlighted “high return” alongside current return. The average high return across these ideas is 37% - and active management is how I’ve captured it.
Since January 1st 2023, my portfolio has delivered a time-weighted return of just over 22%. In 2026 alone, it’s up around 12%.
Paid subscribers get access to write-ups for positions currently in my portfolio, updated in real-time. If you want to see the positions, sizing, and the thinking behind each move:
No worries if not - here's the archive of ideas for you to explore:
