40 Asymmetric Ideas for 2026
Introducing the 2026 SCRai - and how you can follow along

I run a concentrated portfolio.
8–15 positions. Long holding periods. Let winners run.
The problem?
I find far more asymmetric ideas than I can fit into my portfolio. Quality businesses with mispriced risk/reward. Companies that tick most of the boxes but haven’t quite earned a spot yet.
These ideas used to sit in a private watchlist. Useful for me. Useless for everyone else.
So I’ve been busy turning it into something subscribers can actually use.
The SCRai: Schwar Capital Research Asymmetry Index
40 stocks. Fixed basket. Quarterly rebalancing. Full transparency.
Starting 1 January 2026, the SCRai becomes a proper index - tracked systematically against the market with a clean baseline.
These aren’t random screens. Each company has been analysed for:
Quality of business (ROIC, margins, moat)
Management alignment (insider ownership, capital allocation)
Valuation disconnect (why the market might be wrong)
Asymmetry (limited downside, meaningful upside)
Every position will be tracked - transparently, systematically, from a clean starting point.
Early Days, Early Results
It’s only January, so take this with appropriate scepticism.
But the SCRai is up 2.81% year-to-date versus the broader market’s 0.91%.
I’m not celebrating yet. A week means nothing.
But the early signal is encouraging and now you can track it alongside me - properly.
How It Works
Fixed 40-stock basket: The index holds exactly 40 positions at all times.
Quarterly rebalancing; Every quarter I’ll review the full list - adding new ideas, removing companies where the thesis has broken or valuation has caught up. Always back to 40.
Bi-monthly updates: Twice a month I’ll post updates covering the best and worst performers, my current thinking on individual positions, what I’m considering adding, and what might get cut. You’ll see the thesis evolve in real time.
Full performance tracking: Every stock tracked from 1 January 2026. Clean baseline. No cherry-picking. No hiding mistakes.
